I checked out the grant eligibility requirements and do not see anything that would preclude our qualifying for this grant.

Thanks,

Not sure how to go about it, but it would be cool to study the pt movement on our type of strecher/ ambualcne type. To see if improvements could be made to our trucks and or road desgin in and out from hospitals and major running lanes(I35, Congress, Lamar, 38/35 St, 51, Cameron, Benwhite, S 1st with reguards to spine and bone fx. Seems lately The worst part of the trip to brack is the drive into brack, tons of lateral movement in the pt compartment. Idea's???

I'm just a lawyer, but that seems a bit outside the scope of the grant, eh? Doesn't look to me like the grant is designed to fund research.

Wes,
Your right, but it would still be cool to havea study done on the forces of driving practices on our tramua pt to see if anything could be done though to help better stablize so we don't cuase any further injury. It's just an idea...

I'm sure there are other grants out there for EMS research. And I agree that we need to be more involved in research. It really distresses me how much research in EMS has been ceded to physicians. If EMS is to grow as a profession, we ought to be doing our own research.

Wes, your right man if we are to continue to grow as a part of medicine, we need the research. I also think some times the simplest research, can result n the biggest changes.
