This was a great class... Not only provide you with breakfast and lunch but overall was very well organized. They made color copies of all the lecture slides and even had them them spiral bounded. The lecturers (two physicians and two nurses) were also excellent. I particularly enjoyed how they did several case studies that involved the pt's cath video and pre- and post- 12 lead.

This class is highly recommended...

0900-1000 Rapid 12-Lead STEMI recognition
1000-1100 Pre-hospital / ED STEMI treatment
1100-1130 Transport Communication

These portions of the presentation were very basic and in my opinion, not near as advanced as what we do on a daily basis (breakdown of what leads represent what ares of the heart, recognition of ST elevation, What to expect in pt presentation with inferior MI, ASA/NTG/MS..., etc.). They kept this on a very basic level. Great if you are a small town medic who doesn't know this. I thought they would get more in depth.

This was cool. enjoyed the case presentations. A good look into why we do what we do and what happens after we are gone. Not just because the book says so.

I came away with an understanding of just how important time really is on these calls and how our recognition and treatment makes a huge difference.
